Kambo is a secretion from the giant green monkey tree frog (Phyllomedusa Bicolor), which lives in the upper areas of the Amazon Rainforest. The secretion contains many peptides (chemical compounds) that have numerous benefits for physical and mental health, the human body seems to be extremely familiar with Kambo allowing it to enter through our lymphatic system, locking in with our cells making it one of the most effective methods we have for cleansing ourselves physically, mentally and spiritually. The frog has very few natural predators which leaves it with fearless energy. Even snakes spit them back out if they swallow them. That fearless energy can be passed to us during the Kambo ceremony. They are found in Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Peru, French Guiana, Suriname, and Venezuela. The IUCN database lists them in the 'Least Concern' category in view of their wide distribution and large population. Kambo is completely legal everywhere in the world. The only restriction that exists is in Brazil where it is forbidden to advertise or market Kambo in order to restrict biopiracy. 

The frogs which are nocturnal and arboreal can be found in trees near the Igarapés (rainforest waterways) where they gather to sing and announce the rain. They are generally harvested at dawn by the Amazonians who sing and imitate the frogs' songs. The frogs are very passive and do not react when picked up, possibly because they have no predators. Sometimes a female shaman will massage the toes to encourage the secretion which is then carefully scraped off and dried on small sticks. After it is released the frog returns to its habitat none the worse for wear. The frog is never harmed but treated with the utmost care and respect as the Indians believe that to harm the frog will anger the animal spirits that they live so closely with. Kambo collected in this way is considered 100% ethically harvested. The Kambo I use is harvested by many different tribes or family groups that work directly with the IAKP.

Westerners have been known to use Kambo to help with anxiety, stress, depression. Kambo can be also be used for more clarity, focus and a clearer mind. Indigenous use of Kambo differs amongst tribes but the main indigenous uses revolve around lifting and clearing Panema which is an indigenous name for dark or negative energy. It is also known as Hunters Magic because it removes the human odour for up to a day or so and heightens our senses making us faster, stronger and more alert. 

Kambo also has many medicinal uses such as treating malaria, snake bites, fevers, infections, and fertility problems. Researchers believe that Kambo will open up a new world of treatments for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, Chronic Pain, Cancer, HIV, Parkinson's Disease, Alzheimer's, Depression, Vascular problems, Hepatitis, Diabetes, Rheumatism, Arthritis, Addictions and much, much more. Their work consists of attempting to identify, isolate and reproduce the incredible and unique chemical cocktail that is Kambo. Once the intention’s set we’ll get to work. We’ll be working with 3 different sacred medicines, I’ll explain the process & benefits of each one as we use them.

Sananga, Hapé & Kambo. All designed to help you release negative energy & emotions. I’ll explain the origins of all the medicines & the indigenous tribes that harvest them for us.

I’ll be singing, chanting & using musical instruments throughout the ceremony which connects with the medicines & activates them to their highest potential. You’ll be cleansing your mind, body & soul.

After your journey with Kambo, you have a nice rest or a little sleep. I’ll do you a nice hot drink & some healthy snacks for afterward.

We have a little chat about the experience & make positive plans for your life.

You leave a lot lighter than you came & the benefits will build days, weeks & months after your ceremony.

The following list of people are not eligible for Kambo:

• Have serious heart problems or had serious heart surgery.
• Have had a stroke.
• Have had a brain haemorrhage or bleeding to the brain.
• Have an aneurism or blood clots.
• Have current and severe Epilepsy.
• Are undergoing chemotherapy, radiotherapy, or for 4 weeks afterward.
• Take immune-suppressants for an organ transplant.
• Have Addison’s Disease.
• Are on medication for low blood pressure.
• Are recovering from a major surgical procedure (6 weeks after surgery is okay)
• Have serious mental health problems such as Schizophrenia, Severe bipolar, Borderline personality disorder & any other severe or aggressive mental disorders.
• Are under 18 years old.
• Are pregnant or are breastfeeding a child under 6 months old.

Caution is advised in the following cases:

• People taking immune suppressants for auto-immune disorders 
• People taking slimming or sleep supplements
• Avoid prolonged fasting 7 days prior to your ceremony
• Colonics, enemas, liver flushes, or any water-based detox should be avoided within 3 days on either side of experiencing Kambo.
• If you are menstruating at the time of treatment, Kambo may well cause the flow to increase for 24-36 hours because it contains powerful Vasodilators. 
• If you are Asthmatic ensure that you have your inhaler with you.
• If you are Diabetic it's important to discuss your treatment in advance.
• If taking any supplements, herbs, vitamins, minerals, steroids, performance-enhancing drugs, or remedies that you aren't sure about or feel I should know about please discuss with me prior to the session. 
• If there is anything you feel that we should discuss prior to the ceremony please let me know beforehand.  

 Here are the dos and don’ts before a Kambo ceremony... 

• No food 12 hours before Kambo. 
• No intensive fasting up to 1 week before 
• No recreational drugs or Alcohol 24 hours before (apart from no Cannabis 12 hours before). Avoid any painkillers, sleeping pills or any chemicals of any kind 24 hours before please.
• If taking regular medications please discuss this with me prior to Kambo.
• No more than a pint of water on the morning of the ceremony. (If you need a sip of water on the way or just before your ceremony that is fine)

Ceremonies take 2-4 hours and maybe a little longer for bigger groups. You'll be completely fine to drive after Kambo.

I’ll provide the 2 litres of filtered water.

Please wear comfortable clothes & bring a light blanket to relax with afterwards as you will get cold after your journey. 

Please do not wear makeup, especially mascara, if you wear contact lenses then bring a case or some new ones for after as you’ll need to take them out for the Sananga eye drops. 

For maximum benefits, try to do the following before your Kambo ceremony (if possible):

• Eat, drink & live clean
• Spend time in nature 
• Reconnect with yourself in whatever way feels right
